What a way to start the year with Debonair Afrik’s annual networking brunch, ‘The Editor’s Meet’ which took place over the first Saturday of January at the La Villa Boutique Hotel here in Accra.

The Editor’s Meet Brunch is a platform for all within the fashion space to stir the narrative of fashion in Ghana, through fashion networking sessions and stimulating fashion-oriented discussions. It is also geared towards bridging the gap between all fashion stakeholders.

TEM Brunch 2019, began with the arrival of guests who adhered to the themed dress code looking fashionable in their suits and fascinators. The program moderated by media personality Chris Kata was beautifully coordinated with guest introducing themselves and what they do. In attendance were some fashion designers, fashion PR’s, models, fashion tourists and fashion enthusiasts.

The Creative Director of Debonair Afrik, Nuel Bans treated the audience with a presentation on Debonair Afrik which highlighted what the brand stands for and what it does including Style Lounge, past collaborations and publications and future plans.

The presentation ended with a thought stimulating question, ‘ How can we all contribute to making the Ghanaian Fashion Industry Better? ‘The discussion saw guests raise their opinions from the challenges they face in their respective fields in fashion, to the actions that must be taken to resolve these challenges. Another key point raised was the lack of structure in the fashion industry as well as the lack of collaborations among fashion stakeholders.

Guest at The Editors Meet 2019 Fashion Brunch were treated to a Fashion Show Presentation by designers from Style Lounge Platform: Diva Delicious, Nuna Couture, Bushai Weave, Dufie Boateng , Sena Bryte , House Of Oath , Obaa Gold , Miss Evys, Samara and International designer Korlekie .

The event ended with a charge by all present to take action in making the Ghanaian fashion industry better. The event was organized by Debonair Afrik, with key sponsorship from Lambrini Ghana, La Villa Boutique, The Plant Fairy, Iverta Events.
