Last weekend, Ghanaian clothing and accessory designer Larry Jay launched his AW 19/20 collection with a splendid yet simple presentation at The Shop Accra in Osu. The brief event was attended by fashion lovers in the city of Accra who were all excited and waiting earnestly to see the latest pieces from the collection.

The collection called LIFESTYLE was inspired by the diverse ways of living and the lives of people around the world. This played out in the different kind of designs created and fused within the collection.

Among pieces you would see includes Kurta set, Boubou and wrap set, Trench coats with fleece collar and Open Shirts with Jute button detailing, Short sleeve suit set, Kimono, Bags made with natural and dyed Jute mixed with leathers, tie and dye fabrics and embellished with large tassels and furs.

Other items were closed and opened toe Mules embellished with furs and horse-bit, simple open front shirt and skirt with Jute buttons detailing and Inner scarfed/caped shirt with puff sleeve and mini pleat skirt, Lapel shirt and fitting pant with cowrie detailing, Short sleeve tunic with patched Jute pocket and cowries detailing.

These pieces are currently available for purchase at Larry Jay store and also at the Shop Accra.

Larry Jay is an ethical fashion clothing and accessories brand founded by Mohammed Jafaru Larry which was officially debuted in 2017 after starting in 2012 as an accessory brand and then introducing fashion clothes in 2016.

He was recently announced as one of the young, talented emerging designers to make it to the Fashion Focus Africa programme organized by the Lagos Fashion Week, Nigeria.
